iPhone Finance App – MoneyStrands

December 8, 2009 · 8 comments

I stumbled upon a gem of an iPhone appMoneyStrands – today. It is an Online financial application,  with a notable exception that it works with majority of banks in India (ICICI Bank in my case) The previous one which I tried -  Mint (Web and iPhone apps) does not have support for Indian financial institutions. The other one which supports – Buxfer (with an iPhone Web App)  – unfortunately does not have a native iPhone app.

I could successfully aggregate my Savings, Credit and Loan accounts with MoneyStrands. You can even unify accounts from different financial institutions. They support over 8000 of them.

The Interactive Charts are great to use too.

MoneyStrands even supports allocating/tracking a Budget and Alerts for Balance.

MoneyStrands iPhone application (iTunes Link) is free, just like their web offering.

Excellent! I was looking for something exactly like this for my iphone. I have an ICICI bank account too, let’s hope it works with my Kotak.

Is it secure?

Oh, glad to hear that. I hadn’t heard of it. A quick google showed a very aggressive social media reputation management campaign which made me a little suspicious.

Hello,

Do you know if we have an iPhone app for just ICICI? The mobile app ICICI provides is not compatible with iPhone :(

It worked on my Sony Ericsson.

Vivek.

You can view the ICICI account transactions using MoneyStrands. But no other operations are possible.
