It is not possible to buy iPhone from USA now, because now ATT is selling 3G phone for $199 and will ask to signs a two year contract to buy a phone and the bill plan is at least $70 per month (a valid USA credit card and SSN required). I think you have to forget buying a new phone from USA.

Another option is to buy old 1st gen phone for $450 (possibility is that it will be used) or a new 3G iphone for around $600 (600 * 48.5 = 29100) from eBay.

So the conclusion is why to invest 29000 on a phone which will have no warrenty. buy it for 29500 from Vodaphone which will carry warrenty also.

If any one can get any other option, please publish.
