A slight confusion in terms. To coin a phrase, what we have here is a failure to communicate. 3G/4G refers to network systems. G3/G4 refers to MAJOR differences in HTCWizard (8125) Hardware. On XDA there was/is an area for G3 Wizard and G4 Wizard. There are different flashing method/warez to use. Using the G3 method/wares WILL BRICK a type G4 8125.

I purplexed over that for a week or so and found a post on XDA that showed how to identify which was which. It is a simple ID solution found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=284292

Be afraid, be very afraid.

Merry Christmas Kenneth,

You can find a plethora of Wizard stuff here http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=248

Keep in mind the 8125 HTC Wizard is a legacy item nowdays. And there is a very important distinction, G3 or G4. One cannot be substituted for the other, period, end of line. Once you have identified your device for the G3 or G4 flavor you can still find a variety of stuff at XDA Developers. I did flash mine for WM6.1 and used an external GPS dongle along with TomTom6.

Unfortunately during a blonde moment Kathy sat it down on the dash to look at a brochure while we were doing the fall change of the leaves tour through the mountains. Ah you see this coming. The 8125 flew out the window while tomtom proclaimed your exceeding the speed limit and bounced down the side of the mountain. After a few minutes searching it was found but never recovered the ejection, fall, roll, and several tire impacts.

Sad, but an excellent excuse to deploy a cheap Ebay 8925 which has internal GPS.

Okay, I am "stuck on stupid" (Wright, 2008) and lost the pin number to my 8125. I still love the phone and its screen size. I really need to break into my cell phone and do all the wonderful upgrades y'all are talking about. Like a car I had for 15 years (and 260,000 miles), I like this combination of tools and want to upgrade. However, I need to get into the cell phone first. Thanks to any and all that can help.
