I just went through hell this week after I unintentionally formatted a hard drive that had all my valuable data (tax returns, pictures, etc.). I had pretty much accepted the fact that my data was not going to be recovered after trying various tools. Lo and behold, Active File Recovery did an amazing job. I was able to recover EVERYTHING, and I had the ability to recover a bunch of files I had deleted prior to my meltdown (guess I shouldn't be surprised).

In any case, I actually got a pirated version of this software, and it has been years since I have actually paid for any software I use. However, I will be buying a license [I promise] from Active just because I am so grateful for what Active File Recovery was able to do for me. What price can you put on your data?
