Great list Vinod, there’s some on there I’ve not seen before that I’ll be trying, thanks!

I do prefer the V2 of the backup plugin though, the automatic backups mean I never forget :-)

That is an amazing list of plugins. Everyone of them really seems to be useful and important. I use many of them, but I’m going to be checking out the others now.

Nice collection, Vinod! There are a few plugins in this list that I find highly useful for every WordPress user. By the way, there is a question: Are you sure that all the plugins listed in this article work perfectly in WordPress 2.1.2 without breaking anything?

Thanks!

By the way, the Related Posts plugin homepage has moved. The link you have here for it (and most people have for it) doesn’t work. The new link is http://wasabi.pbwiki.com/Related Entries

By the way, how do you get the flags, OS and browser to show up in the comments boxes? I’ve never seen that before.

Great list of plugins and I use several of these myself. However, how many of these are you actually using on your blog? I’m always concerned about page load times so I’m curious what you’ve found.

This post was done couple of months back. A few have been added and removed these days. Pageload time is definitely affected if you’ve got more and more plugins. esp. the ones like UTW slows down quite a bit.

This is a nice list. But what I miss is the plugin, that makes “Readers who viewed this page, also viewed:”-list. Can you tell me, what the name of this plugin?

Jens – its a plugin known as “Where did they go from here”. This won the plugin competition award also. You can get it from:-

I need to publish an updated list of my current plugins :)

You could also try Categories Autolink http://www.centrostudilaruna.it/huginnemuninn/2007/07/17/plugin-per-wordpress-categories-autolink/

It automatically converts categories names, when cited in posts or pages, into links to the same categories.

It means that if writing an article you cite a category of your blog (for instance “Software“), that word is automatically turned into a link to the cited category.
