Building another PDA Platform is something Apple is NOT going to do EVER. Instead they may licence their Content ( Music/Video) distribution channels and supplementary software to other Smart Device Providers. The Video Console market is going to keep Apple occupied for another 3-4 Years. So they have no time for a PDA/SmartPhone OS.
An Outlook Sync module wont make Your Music/Video Player a PDA!
